current heresies Countless ... all must be condemned

"We left foot to sink in a sea of \u200b\u200bheresy. We're doing well ..." I know that other issues could attract more readers to my blog, which will pass by to see this article. But the passivity of many Christians to the multiplication of heresies in the Church is demanding urgent existence of my blog? Reform or apostasy.

Recently the devilish Beast attacks the Church with special force. And does so many different ways that reinforce each other. I note some major.

- The bloody persecution to martyrdom. As reported in a Symposium on "the witness of faith in the twentieth century ", held in Rome for the Jubilee Year 2000, the 40 million martyrs have taken place in the twenty centuries of the Church, about 27 million were martyred in the twentieth century. Obviously, it is very difficult to make the numerical calculation.

Further details are given, for example, Antonio Socci's book, I nuovi perseguitati , 2002, where the author estimated that 70 million Christians have died martyrs in the history of the Church, and from them 45 million and a half, 65% have been martyrs of the twentieth century. In any case, it is a true fact that the enemy has pursued ever so strongly to the Church and in our time. However, both the prince of this world as the main anti-Christs who serve him, understand that this is not in any way, the most effective way to kill Christ in the world.

- silencing of the great truths of faith is a way far more effective than the bloody persecution to weaken the Church and end it progressively. In this theme I dedicated the last series of articles on my blog:
silenced truths of faith (23-24) imply, without doubt, heresies, which today are not sufficiently denied, as is common Catholic language dark and weak ( 24).

By contrast, to affirm the truth revealed and overcome the contrary errors, and at the same time to call to conversion, that is, to preach the Gospel, we must use the language of Christ, clear and strong (25), the language of St. Paul (26 ) and that of many other preachers and defenders of the Catholic faith: Castellani (27), San Francisco Javier (28), St. John Chrysostom (29), San Ignacio de Loyola (30-31), San Juan de Avila (32) Cardinal Pie, Bishop of Poitiers (33-36).

- Finally, the spread of heresies within the Church is undoubtedly the most effective way to stop it, at least in certain regions of the world . The Church of the Living God, "the pillar and foundation of truth" (1Tim 3.15), is built on the rock of faith. Christian people can keep the faith, you can continue the flow of priests and religious vocations, families can maintain the Christian life, even if they take, for example, serious moral scandals in the high dignitaries of the Church. We checked in not a few moments in the history of the Church. But if the enemy, with his henchmen, Rocky manages to undermine the faith of countless scandals Catholic doctrine, the Church is necessarily so and can ruin a place to collapse.

I put just one example: if you delete virtually soteriology-salvation or damnation, "cease priestly vocations, and they extinguished the fires of the Eucharist in the world. Priests to preach at a funeral are automatically saved to the dead, purgatory deleted, eliminate the evangelical soteriology, and effective dissemination of these heresies, collaborate more effectively to the finishing of the Church that the bloody persecutions that produce martyrs.
Well, if the current proliferation of heresies is an issue that some readers do not care, it may take longer, and find other more interesting reading. I can not help it, only regret.

The multiplication of heresies in the Church today is an obvious fact. There are many good Christians who witness very hurt, and sometimes bewildered and outraged because of that reality. And tried to issue Infidelity in the Church. But I want to reaffirm here that the proliferation of heresies within the Church today is witnessed by highly credible people, whose testimony we must remember.

- Paul VI (+1978) had a lot to see disseminated many errors, heresies and abuses in the period after Vatican II, without the latter, of course, as the cause. Its most serious situation assessments began to occur at the time of rejection, even bishops, in his encyclical Humanae Vitae, 1968. The "revolution of the 68" also occurred in its own way, in the Christian world. "The Church is concerned about an hour of self-criticism, rather, of self-destruction ... The Church is practically knocking herself" (7-XII-1968). "For some crack has entered the smoke of Satan in the temple of God" (29-VI-1972, cf., Months later, the extensive discourse about the devil and his action, 15-XI-1972). It is regrettable "the division, disintegration, unfortunately, is in many sectors of the Church "(30-VIII-1973). "Openness to the world was a real invasion of worldly thinking in the Church" (23-XI-1973).

According writes historian Ricardo de la Cierva 'awareness of the crisis and Paul VI did not leave until his death. It attributed a serious responsibility in her pastoral staff, which undermined his health and made him prematurely old. To his confidant Jean Guitton did, shortly before his death, this dramatic confession: "There is great confusion at this time of the Church and what is at issue is faith. What troubles me when I consider the Catholic world is that within Catholicism seems sometimes that can dominate thinking in non-Catholic, and it can happen that non-Catholic thought within Catholicism in the morning becoming stronger. But they were never thought of the Church. It is necessary that a small flock exists, however small it is. " Guitton years later commented: "Paul VI was right. And today we realize. We are experiencing an unprecedented crisis. The Church, indeed, world history has never known such a crisis ... We can say that for the first time in its long history, humanity as a whole is a-theological, has not clearly, but I would say that neither of confusingly, the meaning of that we call the mystery of God '"(The Sickle and the Cross, Ed Phoenix 1996, pg.84).

- Juan Pablo II (+2005), in a speech to popular missionaries (02/06/1981), said three decades ago the Catholic Church is suffering internally very common doctrinal forgeries, and they are not have declined in recent years:
"We must admit realistically and with deep and tormented sensitivity that today's Christians, in large part, they feel lost, confused, perplexed and even disappointed. Have spread his hands full with the contrasting ideas and taught revealed truth forever. They have real peddler heresies and own dogmatic and moral field, creating doubts, confusion, rebellion. It has even manipulated the liturgy. Immersed in the intellectual and moral relativism, and therefore in permissiveness, Christians are tempted by atheism, agnosticism, vaguely moral enlightenment, for a sociological Christianity without dogmas defined and no objective morality. "

- Cardinal Ratzinger, in his Report on the Faith, 1984, noted that very proliferation of innumerable false doctrines, both dogmatic and moral issues (BAC, Madrid 1985).
"Much of theology seems to have forgotten that the subject that makes theology not the individual student, but the Catholic community as a whole, the whole Church. This neglect of the theological and ecclesial service follows a theological pluralism is in fact often pure subjectivism, individualism that has little to do with the foundations of common tradition "(80) ... So there has been a" confused period in which all sorts of heretical deviation seems to crowd at the gates of authentic Catholic faith "(114). Among the most serious and frequent errors in fact can be pointed out issues such as original sin and its consequences (87-89, 160-161), Arian view of Christ (85), the eclipse of theology of the Virgin (113), errors on the Church (53-54, 60-61), the denial of the devil (149-158), the devaluation of redemption (89), and many other errors necessarily related to these .

currently in the field of church heresies are many other important issues: the divinity of Jesus Christ, the status of sacrificial and atoning death, the historicity of the miracles and resurrection, the virginity of Mary, purgatory, angels, hell, the Eucharistic Presence, Divine Providence, the necessity of grace, the Church, the sacraments, marriage, religious life, the Magisterium, etc.. It can be said that the current theological heresies have challenged virtually all the truths of the Catholic faith. And even the noisiest errors are those related to moral issues, acceptance of contraception, abortion, active homosexuality, the new "marriage of divorcees, etc .- certainly the most serious errors are doctrinal, which more directly injured the rock of faith on which stands the Church.

- Benedict XVI in a major speech to senior officials of the Roman Curia (22-XII-2005), wondered "why why the reception of the Council, in large parts of the Church, has done so far so difficult? ". And in his capacity as pope theologian pointed to accurate diagnosis, the general cause of the many errors and abuses of the Church in our time. "There is an interpretation on the one hand [the council] could be called" hermeneutics of discontinuity and rupture ", which has often had the sympathy of the media and also one trend of modern theology. On the other hand, is the "hermeneutic of reform, of renewal in the continuity of the one subject-Church which the Lord has given us is a subject which increases in time and develops, yet always remaining the same, the one subject of the People of God on the way ... The hermeneutic of discontinuity risks ending in a break between the pre-conciliar Church and post-conciliar Church. Asserts that the texts of the Council as such do not express the true spirit of the Council ... It would be necessary not to follow the texts of the Council but its spirit. In this way, of course, leaves room for every whim. "

Church has never really had so many lights, and has never suffered an invasion of heresies such . The two statements are true, even if they seem contradictory. But then, if it is true that the current church doctrine so many and so bright, how is it that Christian people today suffer so widespread confusion and mistakes in matters of faith? Try, with the help of God, this serious issue carefully.
