Recently the devilish Beast attacks the Church with special force. And does so many different ways that reinforce each other. I note some major.
- The bloody persecution to martyrdom. - Finally, the spread of heresies within the Church is undoubtedly the most effective way to stop it, at least in certain regions of the world . Christian people can keep the faith, you can continue the flow of priests and religious vocations, families can maintain the Christian life, even if they take, for example, serious moral scandals in the high dignitaries of the Church. The multiplication of heresies in the Church today is an obvious fact. There are many good Christians who witness very hurt, and sometimes bewildered and outraged because of that reality. And tried to issue Infidelity in the Church. currently in the field of church heresies are many other important issues: the divinity of Jesus Christ, the status of sacrificial and atoning death, the historicity of the miracles and resurrection, the virginity of Mary, purgatory, angels, hell, the Eucharistic Presence, Divine Providence, the necessity of grace, the Church, the sacraments, marriage, religious life, the Magisterium, etc.. It can be said that the current theological heresies have challenged virtually all the truths of the Catholic faith. And even the noisiest errors are those related to moral issues, acceptance of contraception, abortion, active homosexuality, the new "marriage of divorcees, etc .- certainly the most serious errors are doctrinal, which more directly injured the rock of faith on which stands the Church.
- Benedict XVI in a major speech to senior officials of the Roman Curia (22-XII-2005), wondered "why why the reception of the Council, in large parts of the Church, has done so far so difficult? ". And in his capacity as pope theologian pointed to accurate diagnosis, the general cause of the many errors and abuses of the Church in our time. Church has never really had so many lights, and has never suffered an invasion of heresies such . The two statements are true, even if they seem contradictory. But then, if it is true that the current church doctrine so many and so bright, how is it that Christian people today suffer so widespread confusion and mistakes in matters of faith?
