ROMANCE OF THE DEATH OF JOHN LAVALLE
The renowned Argentine writer Ernesto Sabato prefers to look at Juan Lavalle-central figure in Argentina's history, from the perspective of the common man and not a public person exploring about its nature. The first idea that emerged was that of making the poem as an oratorio. While force was taking the form of epic poem but a living language, but nothing formal and archeology. Despite the authors' intention to adhere to the human condition Lavalle, the album was preceded by strong historical debates between unitary and federal. This was just one of many musical works that were produced from events in Argentina's history: Warlords (1966) and Argentine Women (1969), both of Ariel Ramirez and Felix Luna, "Canto-monument to the memory of José María Paz - Vision Chacho and The consquista the desert (Carlos Di Fulvio, 1968-70); El Chacho - Life and Death of a warlord (1974) and Independence (1966), the two-Cafrune Jorge; Cantata montonera (Huerque Mapu, 1974) and, more recently, Passions (Pacho O'Donnell, Antonio Tarrago Ros, 2008), among others.
